Rwanda inaugurates first of 10 football pitches under the FIFA Arena Project
Rwanda Monday inaugurated the first of 10 football pitches to be constructed across the country under the FIFA Arena Project.
The Sports Minister Nelly Mukazayire alongside Mattias Grafström, FERWAFA President Fabrice Shema, and Stéphane Le Brech, officiall inaugurated facilities at Kagarama Secondary School in Kicukiro district.
The pitches will play a key role in nurturing new talent and promoting community sports development, according to officials.
The delegation also inaugurated the FERWAFA accommodation facility in Remera Sector, Gasabo district, funded through the FIFA Forward Program.
In addition, football boots were distributed to young athletes under the FIFA Boots for All program to further support and develop their talent.
