Kagame promotes over 2000 military officers
President Paul Kagame promoted 2,430 junior officers of the Rwanda Defense Force, the military announced Wednesday.
Those promoted include 1,119 lieutenants who were promoted to the rank of captain while 1,311 second lieutenants were promoted to the rank of lieutenant, a statement said.
The promotions took immediate effect.
