Kagame names new female Sports minister
President Paul Kagame on Friday appointed Nelly Mukazayire as the new Minister of Sports, replacing Richard Nyirishema who had held the docket since August.
Kagame also appointed Rwego Ngarambe the Minister of State in the Ministry of Sports while Regis Uwayezu, who previously served as CEO of Tanzania football giants Simba SC, was named Permanent Secretary in the same ministry, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office.
Uwayezu replaces Mukazayire.
In other appointments Godfrey Kabera was named as Minister of State in charge of the National Treasury, replacing Richard Tusabe.
Kagame also made several other appointments including to Rwanda’s embassies abroad.
